Korg 05R/W Midi Synthesizer Soundmodul as-is

Korg 05R/W. Powers up but shows alow battery warning and we couldn't get any sound out of it. Not sure if that's related to the low battery and if maybe it has no presets on it, or user error or if it actually doesn't work.
