Try to insert the new button, if it is not plugged in properly remove any remaining rubber residual then re insert the button by pressing it all around the 4 sides. IMPORTANT READ CAREFULLY - carefully remove the residual rubber edges of the old broken buttons using a mini cutter or a very small flat screwdriver.
